Ruth was a courageous woman of God. She is described in the bible as being noble; she was a courageous risk taker who did what was right, no matter what the cost.
I spent last week at a place named after this woman of God. Ruth home is a home for girls who come from the hill tribes of northern Thailand. Their homes are no longer safe to them. Many of their family members and close friends have been trafficked. Their hill tribe is depleting quickly.
These three girls have lived at Ruth home for about 6 months. It would be so easy for them to be sad, to worry about their home, to live in constant fear.
But when I looked into their eyes, I saw something much different, hope.
These girls know what it is like to live without Jesus. They know they hope and comfort that His love brings. They pray with a desire and a passionate heart, fully expecting God to answer their prayers.
I want to live free from fear, knowing my Jesus is bigger.
I want to have courage, to face my battlefields willing to give up my life.
I want to have hope, knowing where ever God takes me I will forever be his princess.
I want to live like Ruth.
