I had hardly crawled out of bed this morning when I was attacked by my first Happy Birthday hug. So for those of you who were wondering, how does Passport: Immersion celebrate birthdays? Well here is a walk through…

Well so I walk into the kitchen to eat some breakfast and there is a ‘birthday throne’ set up for me. It has cards, including one signed by all of my teammates. So I got to sit in my birthday throne for our pancake breakfast (don’t think the pancakes are anything special, we have had them 6 times since arriving, they are just cheap).

Then one of my squad mates made me happy birthday pancakes! (This part is special)

On Sundays typically we eat lunch with the church so here is a picture of the lunch they made for us, rice and um something else!

Then came the best part. So our of nowhere a girl from my squad grabbed my arm and said come on we are supposed to be in the kitchen. She drug me into the kitchen where my entire team was standing and when I walked it they started singing Happy birthday and throwing balloons at me! They had a cake that was made by one of the women in the church it was absolutely beautiful!

Oh and they also made me a special 'birthday chair' with cards from my team!

Okay well that’s all for now! Thanks everyone for your birthday wishes!
