Be still once more, O my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.

The past three weeks have been a whirlwind. I’ve tried to sit down and write a blog many times and did not even know where to start.

So here is how I will start, the Lord is so good to us. Seriously.

Since I arrived in Chaiprekarn, I have been a nervous wreck. I have been constantly worried about offending the culture, or leading my team well, or whether my relationship with God is ‘where it should be.’ I have been guilt-ridden with my lack of quiet time with Jesus, and how I haven’t had a desire to read God’s word.

I forgot.

I forgot that God has been good to me.

I forgot that in my lowest lows, He held my hand.

I forgot that in my highest highs, He held my hand.

I forgot that when Jesus died on the cross, I don’t have to worry anymore.

I forgot that I am free.

Wait, that needs to be repeated…

I am free.

Free from worry, free from doubt, free from guilt.

Jesus paid it all.

Be still once more, O my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.
